Calm has a bad reputation. For most people it sounds like sleep walking. We’ve all had friends who are calm for those few honeymoon weeks after a yoga retreat or love workshop, but then when the heat is back to reality, flip back to their former self, unchanged but poorer for the financial cost as well as time wasted paying to sit on a cushion for hours when you can actually do it yourself at home, for free.
Calm, Innerwealth style is action. We take the most stressful events and circumstances of your life and teach you how to love it. Yup, love it or leave it, that’s real calm. Calm is empowered action, skill plus confidence. Unlike the hippie notions of calm which still permeate the subculture of self help, Innerwealth innovated Calm, to create a real world process that is usable for mum, dad, CEO, bus driver and sport star. Calm to go…
Calm is easy in a laboratory or if you’ve chosen a low paid high protection job. But most of us are real enough in living to want a good bang for our buck. We want to be paid well for doing well and then have fun spending those hard earned bucks on living well.
Hence, Calm isn’t a lab test, an expensive retreat or something you do after work, that’s rubbish. Calm is an approach to life, a way of doing your best, a way of living in the fast lane, without Adrenalin.
If you want to learn Calm, Innerwealth style – be in touch…. As you’ll see below, the cost of Cushion Calm, which allows mad ass Adrenalin (read here, anger, frustration, disappointment, stress, envy, blame, hate) is already potentially taking its toll in your life. Beware of rest as the solution, it simply doesn’t work in the real world and causes more of what it’s trying to fix.
Do you have the early warning signs of Adrenal Burn Out
Adrenal fatigue is a collection of signs and symptoms, known as a syndrome, that results when the adrenal glands function below the necessary level. Most commonly associated with intense or prolonged stress, it can also arise during or after acute or chronic infections, especially respiratory infections such as influenza, bronchitis or pneumonia. As the name suggests, its paramount symptom is fatigue that is not relieved by sleep but it is not a readily identifiable entity like measles or a growth on the end of your finger.
You may look and act relatively normal with adrenal fatigue and may not have any obvious signs of physical illness, yet you live with a general sense of unwellness, tiredness or “gray” feelings. People experiencing adrenal fatigue often have to use coffee, colas and other stimulants to get going in the morning and to prop themselves up during the day.
This syndrome has been known by many other names throughout the past century, such as non-Addison’s hypoadrenia, sub-clinical hypoadrenia, neurasthenia, adrenal neurasthenia, adrenal apathy and adrenal fatigue. Although it affects millions of people in the U.S. and around the world, conventional medicine does not yet recognize it as a distinct syndrome.Adrenal fatigue can wreak havoc with your life. In the more serious cases, the activity of the adrenal glands is so diminished thaday. With each increment of reduction in adrenal function, every organ and system in your body is more profoundly affected.
Changes occur in your carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, fluid and electrolyte balance, heart and cardiovascular system, and even sex drive. Many other alterations take place at the biochemical and cellular levels in response to and to compensate for the decrease in adrenal hormones that occurs with adrenal fatigue. Your body does its best to make up for under-functioning adrenal glands, but it does so at a price.
