There is another interesting aspect in studying spirituality, and this is that “every mind attracts and reflects thoughts of its own kind”. Just as the soil of a specific area may attract flowers of a particular variety to grow while repelling a certain type of weed, people of a spiritual nature usually resonate with like minds, and the opposite is true.

One must be aware. An entrepreneur may appear hard and logical and they too will attract hard and logical colleagues, but this may be fuelled by a deep love and this will still be spiritually authentic because they are acting in their true nature.

Not all human beings have the same values and this is so important to know this because it allows us all to express our love, our spiritual aspect in our own unique ways. You may express this love through music, through art, through leadership, through parenting. Each of us has a unique, thumbprint specific set of values and it is through those unique values that our love, our spirituality is uniquely expressed.

This awareness is a departure from spiritual and religious dogma that prescribes certain ways that reflect how to express spirituality. When i go to a conference and I speak on spirituality at work, people expect me to speak about and reflect compassion and mindfulness, and peace and tranquility but those are the stereotypes of expression of spirituality. I can equally be rough, wild, creative, inspired and it is just my way, my true nature being spiritual.

That is the message you see.

All human souls are born to this earth in a state of spirituality. The baby does not judge itself. It cries with full throat, it smiles unashamedly, it shits when it needs to. The ego has not yet formed a barrier. Our true nature (spirituality) resonates with the baby. Hence, if you can find your true nature, and be authentic to that true nature, to live and love your values, beyond doubt, then you will be like that baby at least within, you will know yourself, and therefore know others.  You will attract like minds.

Our true nature expresses itself through the ego and this develops a certain character. The thought pictures of that particular character appeal to the hearts of those who are ready.

There is not one moment when the thought pictures of our character are not present, and so authenticity to values wields incredible power. All of life is a picture in mind form; those pictures that are alike with others are called attractive and ultimately, leadership.

It is important to distinguish that thoughts do not have to be materialised for a results to occur. They may be purely imaginary in form, but they exist as pictures, dreams, ideas, attitudes, memories long forgotten, consciousness, interests and imaginations. It is said that even before two people meet they know each other’s mind on a subconscious level. Then they work to meet on the physical, and experience the reality in the manifestation of those deeper forms.

Beautiful pictures come from the core of spirituality.  A person who has a habit of criticising themselves will most often open their ears to the criticism of others, because this is the subject which interests them. Hence, if we are seeking to change our interaction with the world then we can either change it only on the surface for which a massive amount of energy is required to sustain it (usually therefore long term unsustainable) – or by reconnecting to the true nature, the spiritual side.

Your True Nature is found in nature. A person who finds the love of nature finds their spirituality. It is not conservation nor peace because these are simply individual expressions of the love of nature. It could be a thousand ways, including cooking meat. One cannot put a stereotype on spiritual nature otherwise  it simply becomes ego again. However, the DISCARD process helps to bring this nature love, this true nature to everyday life. It means there is both the experience and the ability to re-experience this connection at will. I suggest that we find our true nature in our love for nature, and we consolidate it back into everyday life, through the DISCARD process.
